101 CSS Tips and resourceCascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a stylesheet language used to set the display of a document written in markup language. The most common usage of CSS is for formatting web pages written in HTML and XHTML. However, the language itself can be used for any type of XML document, including SVG and XUL. CSS specifications set by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

CSS is used by the author and readers of web pages to define colors, type fonts, layout, and display various aspects of the document. CSS is used mainly to separate between the content of the document (which is written with HTML or other markup language) with the presentation document (written in CSS). This separation can improve content accessibility, provide more flexibility and control over the look, and reduce complexity and repetition in the stuktur content.

CSS enables the same page to appear differently to different methods of presentation, such as through a screen, print, voice (when read by the browser-vote basis, or screen readers), and also means of braille readers. HTML or XML page that also can be displayed together in different, both in terms of style or color scheme, display using CSS.
